Our
Projects

A collection of our published projects, from hackathons, client projects and independent research.

L-Mental

A game where you are the environment and your brain waves influence the weather. The goal was to explore how BCI can help us form a stronger connection with nature.

Made in Unity within 24 hours for BR41N.IO Designer's Hackathon, where it won 3rd place in the gaming category. The Unicorn Hybrid Black Unity Interface was used for processing EEG signals from a Unicorn Hybrid Black.

In L-Mental, your mental state controls the elements. You are the environment. You are water, air, fire. By focusing on the Chinese characters of each of these elements, rain, wind and forest fires occur respectively.

Interocepticon

This project explores how mixed-reality might enhance interoceptive accuracy and sensibility. The user’s own custom meta avatar is loaded into the scene and presented to them as a reflection via a movable portal.

The project aims to draw attention towards the user’s inner body, by visualising a simulation of their skeleton, overlaid over their actual body using body-tracking, as well as via  a simulation of their beating heart inside their digital avatar, updated according to live data from a heart-rate monitor.

Dress Like a Star!

Dress Like A Star! is a game that combines VR and BCI to make playing dress-up accessible for children with motor disabilities. Inspired by games like ‘Dress To Impress!’, the avatar customization stage of many games and dressing-up IRL, this prototype explores how SSVEP can be used to design an outfit and how VR can make it feel like you are actually wearing it.
